Ceramic window film uses non-metallic ceramic particles to block infrared heat that ordinary dyed film lets through. You get a noticeably cooler cabin at the same 35% shade, with no signal interference. Quoted per vehicle.
Sunlight carries heat mostly in the infrared band, which you cannot see. A standard dyed film mainly controls visible light. It darkens the glass, blocks UV and cuts glare, and it does reduce some heat, but much of the infrared still comes through. Ceramic film adds a layer of ceramic nanoparticles that absorb and reflect infrared specifically. The result is a window that looks exactly as dark as 35% dyed film but lets far less heat into the car.
Some high-performance films of the past used metal layers to reflect heat. They worked, but they could weaken cell reception, GPS and toll transponders, and they had a mirrored look. Ceramic film gets its heat rejection without metal, so there is no signal problem and no mirror effect. It looks like a clean, neutral charcoal tint.
Ceramic film is installed exactly like our standard film and carries the same lifetime warranty. The only differences are the film itself and the price. Because the cost scales with glass area, we quote it by vehicle rather than posting one number.

No. Shade and heat rejection are separate things. Ceramic film is available at the same 35% legal shade as our standard film. It blocks more infrared heat at that shade, not more light.
No. Ceramic film has no metal in it, so it does not affect cell signal, GPS, satellite radio or E-ZPass. Older metallized films could; ceramic does not.
It depends on the vehicle, so we quote it by phone. Expect it to run meaningfully more than the standard package because the film itself costs more. If you drive a lot in summer or have a black interior, most customers feel it is worth it.
Yes. Lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, fading and discoloration, same as our standard film.
Yes. A common setup is ceramic on the two front doors, where the driver feels the heat most, and standard film on the rear. We can price it either way.
